Yes, it was another crazy week at the Grinstead house! I'm not sure where the week went, but I am glad that it is over!
Allie had her last soccer game this week. Her team ended up undefeated & she was thrilled. I am not sorry to see that end. We will do it again in the Spring for 3 weeks and then we have to decide whether or not to make the commitment to CVYSA in the Fall (the league that Jake is in).
Jake's football team lost again this weekend. They are 0-4. Jake had a really nice run for a TD. He ran almost the entire length of the field & no one could catch him. He also played decent defense & pulled some flags. This weekend we play another Hansen team in the Dome! Hopefully we can get our first win!
Jake's soccer team got their first win this weekend. They were pumped up, they crushed the other team. I think 9-3 was the score.
Allie went to a birthday party for her friend Madison V on Saturday. It was at the YMCA & they got to go swimming. She had a great time with her friends.
Jake was chosen to be on student council as a rep for 3rd grade. I was shocked to learn that he ran. You have to give up your noon recess twice a month to be on student council!
My stove arrived on Thursday. It is wonderful!! I am making brunch on Sunday for the guests that will be here. I can't wait to try out my double oven again. Our water softener was installed last week too, so far I love it.
I subbed 2 days at Hansen last week. It was great to be back there & it felt like home. I also spent a day volunteering at Hansen. I helped out in Jake's room & helped out with student council videotaping.
The carnival is over! YEAH!! Preliminary numbers show we will make about $2000-$3000 more than last year. Yipppeeee!! Our hard work paid off. Now I can focus on Teddy Bear Tea.
Scott finished his 4th marathon last weekend. He ran it in 3 hours 55 minutes. His goal was to be under 4 hours because he was nursing some injuries. Michael & I saw him start & at mile 4. Kim & Drew joined us at about mile 8. We saw him at mile 11 & 13 and again at 20. We met up with Jake, Allie, Mom, Dad, Mandy, Ben & Maddie at mile 22 & 24. We were all there to cheer him on at the finish line too. Jake ran the last 2 blocks with him and was really excited. We are all looking forward to next year's race.
This week is pretty slow for us. I subbed yesterday & then ran the kids to dance & football. I had several things to return for the carnival too. Today, I am subbing this afternoon & then will run Jake to soccer practice. Wednesday I hope to clean if I'm not called to sub. I also will babysit after school & run the kids to Religion class. On Thursday, Jake has football practice & we have Godfather's Night too. Friday brings soccer practice for Jake & company coming for the weekend. Saturday, Allie has a cheerleading camp & Jake has a soccer game. Sunday I am having brunch for our guests, Jake plays in the Dome & then he has a swimming party that evening. I also have a couple of deadlines to meet for Teddy Bear Tea & some wrap up stuff for carnival.

SCHOOL PICTURES
Here are the kid's school pictures. I'm not thrilled with them, but they will do. Jake buttoned his top polo button & has a goofy look on his face. Allie was fighting a fever & quite pale.
