WEEKEND UPDATE!

The kids got to participate in Wacky Hair day at school on Friday. Allie had her hair in 10 pony tails all over her head. We dyed half of her hair purple and the other half green. Since Jake's hair was just cut and he wears it so short, we used his wig from Halloween to make his hair wacky. Both kids had fun.

On Friday night, Jake had his friend Nick spend the night. We ordered pizza for dinner & everyone enjoyed that. They played outside until dark, tossing around the football & wrestling in the yard too. Once inside, they went directly to the basement armed with snacks to watch the NCAA games and to play the Wii. They slept in their man cave, emerging in time for breakfast. We took Nick home later in the morning. Allie got to have her friend Maddie over. Maddie is a bit shy & wasn't ready to sleep over. She came for the pizza and the girls had snacks while they watched a movie and played Webkinz. I ran Maddie home around 10 pm, Allie was beat and went right to sleep.

We spent Saturday afternoon at the Grout museum in Waterloo. It was a Scout trip & frankly I wasn't too excited about it. I was pleasantly surprised though. The museum is wonderful and I learned a TON about the 5 Sullivan Brothers from Waterloo who were all killed on a ship in WW2. A very interesting story.

After the Grout, we went to see the movie Monsters vs. Aliens with some friends. It was a cute movies & the kids enjoyed it.

On Sunday, Scott painted the main floor bathroom. It looks really nice & makes me want to finish painting the rest of the house. The kids played outside on Sunday with friends & rode their bikes and scooters. They can't wait for the warmer weather.

This week brings: dance class, dinner with friends, Religion class, baseball practice, soccer practice (I think), volunteering, 2 b-day parties & a Godfather's fundraiser night. Things are starting to get crazy busy here again....we love it!
